Yemini Projects:Sustainable solutions

Yemen’s food crisis affects 17 million people, 60% of the population, as of March 2023. The terrible situation highlights the necessity for durable answers to Yemenis’ needs. Yemen’s livelihoods depend on agriculture, although just 15-20% of its food needs come from it. This striking contrast highlights the need for planned and sustainable projects to boost Yemen’s food production and security. Long-term solutions to the food issue affecting most of the population must prioritize agricultural productivity and resilience.

Yemen has an unparalleled hunger crisis that is affecting millions. Food insecurity affects 17 million Yemenis despite humanitarian aid. Child malnutrition is one of the highest in the world and is worsening. A recent poll found that roughly one third of families rarely eat legumes, vegetables, fruit, dairy, or meat. Acute malnutrition affects 1.3 million pregnant and lactating women and 2.2 million children under 5 in Yemen, one of the highest rates in the world.

Yemen Initiatives: A Legacy of Support Daily Bakery Assistance:

For nearly a year, We Care Foundation managed a bakery in Yemen, feeding 300 people with 9 pieces of bread each day. This effort alleviated hunger and provided stable food for needy areas.

Our earlier Yemeni projects included a holistic strategy, including food pack distribution, monetary aid, and empowerment efforts. We Care Foundation sought to empower Yemeni families by recognizing their complex needs and providing complete help.

Your help made these projects impactful. We Care Foundation is committed to positive change one project at a time as we embrace compassion and empowerment.
